An epic reader…

Ιανουάριος26

Well, about three years ago I met my fiance and through him Mr Tolkien and the «Lord of the rings» but I could never guess the long terms of my new affair…

The Ring of the Lord

Just few days ago I managed to finish at last Tolkien’s masterpiece after a really epic effort and three whole years!!! Hopefully it was worthy every single moment. Tolkien did wrote a masterpiece!

Although I’ve watched the movie, which I found precise (in the meters of possible of course) and a masterpiece of story telling, I must admit there’s no meter of comparison between the film and the book. The marvelus details, the origanal world of Tolkien’s imagination, the fine language and amazing story itself managed to keep my interest vivid through time as well as my memory, too. Three years have passed, I’ve read enough other books in between but still the heroes of the ring dominated a part of thought where their world found a new home. There isn’t only the characters of cource. The magnignute of the story is the Tolkien’s skill to surprise you even if he’d been warning in many different ways of what was going to happen.

What can I say, I feel too small to speak of it any further. I believe you find much more eloquent and interesting the statement of Mr David Brin (Authur of science fiction).

Funny you should write about lotr now. I just watched
    this http://flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/movie.htm
A 'remake' of lotr using old, film-noir B-movies (yes, incl. Casablanca). Is that (twice) weird or what?

Well, I was never following the river, so it is not that weird to me but this double event that discovers each other is kind of weird. THANK YOU for reading my blog. I hope to see you again.
