A deadly virus seems to have infected every single Greek journalist, reported and the majority of those who dare to appear in a "TV window". Apparently it is the "Babel Virus" and has a special connection with the Kenteris – Thanou issue.

For a few days now journalists and other people of the news industry in Greece are infected by this strange virus and, although they hardly try to communicate and dispense justice on the hot topic of our world champions Kenteris and Thanou, they have serious problems of understanding. Even in the cases that there is clear evidence or clear lack of evidence they react as mystic power has dominated them and they can hear or see nothing but what this power indicates.

It is not clear what exactly weakens the mind of all these people but in a weird way the all fight with great passion to administrate justice and clear the shame of the two "dirty and naughty" athletes. The long for a hard and immediate punishment of the athletes without listening a single clue of the point of view on the subject; that of the poor athletes.

I can't deny that there are shadows around and there is a pretty serious list of "dark spots" about their coach. Also I am aware of the war against Kenteris that reached its peak few days ago and the rumors about avoiding doping control checks. Maybe they both did but how we can know. It is clear that they have never been informed to pass such a test, even their "toughest enemies" as Mr Papadogiannakis, the chief of the Greek Olympic team, admits that he never found them to inform or warn them about the doping check! Really how can you blame a person for denying and invitation he never received? Too many matters are raised but the fact is that the two kids are in hospital and we haven't heard their explanations yet. Also, we don't have their doping tests that would prove the truth.
If they are found clear I don't see any reason for avoiding any kind of test. Their history proves that they both have never been found positive in such a test. Why now? Would that be silly?

Anyway, who am I to talk about silly thoughts and deeds? Human soul and mind is an abyss, you can never really know how they act or react. Still I find it a great crime to convict anyone before the proof of his or her guilt and create a huge storm of misleading information about him or her. How many people have been sentenced to death like this and after their execution their innocence was proved? Why should we always do such mistakes, especially during the great celebration of peace, friendship and fair competition?

Closing this wondering post I'd like to make clear that I don't want them to be "softly" treated and skip the punishment if they are guilty. We need to pay our faults and to be taught by them. I just want people to try and think a little before they talk and mostly before they act and hurt innocent.

I just want a better world with better people. Do I ask for much?
