GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An incredible victory was achieved by the Greek National football team on the first of July against the Czech Republic at the 105' and 1'' of the match, and Greeks all over the world got drunk with happiness.
And not in vain, as the vast majority of this world would never believe that the Greek team could ever reach the Ithaca of Euro 2004, yet on Sunday we play against the angry Portugeese in the final match of the competition, hoping to keep the cup.
The match made 11.000 Greeks to emigrate to Portugal and from the rest of the 11 millions who stayed at home watching TV the 75,6% was staring at their screens the last 15' minutes of the match. But it was worthy up to the very last second. Otto Rehhagel offers management lessons and leads his team to a historical zenith, miles ahead of what they have achieved ever before.
I must admit that I am very proud of my cousin's (Vasilis Tsiartas) contribution that I almost forget what my family suffers for his career and I deeply hope he'll add something more in the team's success in the final. If you want to practice your observation skills you may try to spot him among the members of my father's tennis team. Yes, when he was young he was a very good tennis player as well. (You may check the answer.)
Till Sunday comes, if you want to learn more about the last and previous games you may take a look at the links above, browse some pictures or watch / hear the great goal again and again to believe it. Just today (July 2nd) at 9 o' clock in the morning (Greece) the Greek triumph was the third Sports topic at Google News with more than 450 related articles. You may also check the Greek newspapers, To Vima, Ta Nea, Ethnos and Ethnospor, Kathimerini and its english edition or visit the Athens News Agency in greek or english. You may also see some foreign articles of the Liverpool Daily Post, RTE Sport, International Herald Tribune and BBCSport.
I think you have enough to see and hear until the great day. And don't forget to pray!!! (For the Greek victory of course!)
