The risks of a blog
I'm still wandering of what I may do with my blog, but I'm absolutely certain that I do not want to get fired as happened to the ex Microsoft employee Michael Hanscom.
Will browsing around a friend's blog host I noticed the title "How not to get fired because of your blog" where I saw the story of "this unfortunate Blogger" linked to a Todd Bishops article, which explained the whole story and gave me a link to the original sequel post by the fired blogger, target="_blank">Michael Hanscom.
Hanscom's sin according to Microsoft was the security violation he committed by publishing his post: "Even Microsoft wants G5s". All he did was to take a picture of some G5s boarding in MS campus, being very careful not to shot anything that could could reveal the location. Still he refered to the fact that it was taken to same building with the print shop he worked in, with no further details. Though it proved to be enough to get him fired.
It's seems that watching your back isn't enough, huh?

Don't worry, most managers only read PowerPoint presentations (now, *this* comment could get you fired, in some corps I could think of
